If my memory serves me correctly, it was Friday 16th July.

Theresa took Steven onto a roller coaster which Hallvard and I watched from a safe distance. It didn’t only go up and down, it also revolved around on its axis (the car they were sitting in) in some places, making me happy to be watching and not to be suffering it.

After that Theresa went on the ”Høydeskrekk” which was a series of-balancing-exercises on various forms of ropes, planks, pulleys and climbing apparatus, all at about 10 meters above our heads, which we watched once again from a safe distance, taking a movie of Theresa struggling around  with muttered gasps of ”never again” (see video). I am happy to say that she was wearing a safety harness and hard hat. I think her suffering lasted for about 20 minutes.

Theresa and Steven were whirled round on a water-carroussell….Then we had an ice….Then we all sat on a nice leisurely ride in the form of a viking ship that gently swayed us around to give us a total view of the park and surrounding landscape.

Then with the rest of the family I was whirled screaming around a not quite-so-horrible roller-coaster as the first one Theresa and Steven sat on, but bad enough for all that. Hallvard complained that I didn’t stop screaming into his ear.  I was the oldest person sitting on it and I didn’t even have the excuse of grandchildren to accompany.

After passing an animated dummy of a man having troubles with going to the toilet, Theresa, Steven and Hallvard found themselves whirled round in a cetrifuge. Not yours truly I don’t need to add. I think Hallvard felt sick.

So that was the day at the fun-fair . For met he fun lay in missing what everyone else wasn’t.
